Jimmie Dewitt Riley, 86 of Republic, passed away on June 20, 2022.

While attending college in Tarkio he met the love of his life, Lorraine Emily Carother. They were united in marriage on August 6th, 1961 at Presbyterian Church in Manilla, Iowa. They were married for 57 years. To this union there were four children born. He served his country for 26 and a half years in the United States Army. Traveling a lot during that time stationed in Okinawa, Germany, Missouri, Georgia, Texas, Colorado, California, and Korea. He was a very devout Christian and very active in the church. He was a member of the Westside Christian Church in Republic, Missouri. He had been a Deacon, Elder, and sang solos.

Survivors include Laura Ann Henson and Sara Nadine (Robert) Dysinger of Clever, Missouri and Andrew Howard (Amie) Riley of Tarkio, Missouri. Three sister-in-laws, many nieces, nephews, and friends. Proceeded in death by his parents, baby daughter, wife Lorraine Emily, five sisters, four brothers, two nieces, and two nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, June 24, 2022, at Westside Christian Church in Republic, Missouri, with burial to follow at Brookline Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 pm-8 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
