Robert H. Bezanson, 76 of Springfield, suddenly passed away at home on June 3, 2022.

After graduating from the University of Maryland in 1968, he served 11 years as an Air Force officer in hospital administration including at The Vietnam Theatre. In 1978 he received his Master’s degree in health administration which led him to Cox Medical Centers in 1980. There he held many positions on his way to becoming President and Chief Operating Officer. He retired after a 31-year career. He was happiest doing wood turning and was active in S.W. Missouri Woodturners.

Bob is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cindy. His Mother Marjorie, 96 of Maryland, one brother, David and his wife Caren also of Maryland, two nephews, Mike and Matt, and their families.

A memorial visitation will be from 3:30 to 5:00 pm Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
