Glywn Dora Young, 95 of Nixa, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024.
While in Wichita, she began working for Southwestern Bell and she continued her work there when the family moved to Springfield in 1960, then Nixa in 1963, eventually retiring from the company (AT&T) after 33 years of service. She was a member of the Springfield Life Members Telephone Pioneers and the Communication Workers of America.
Glywn Dora was a longtime member of Calvary Bible Church in Nixa where she served as a pianist as well as helping with Awanas and preparing meals for events.
Survivors include her son Terry Young and his wife Karan (Lenz) Young of Nixa; and others.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Adams Funeral Home in Nixa with Pastor Colter Rantz officiating.
Private family burial will follow at Delaware Cemetery in Nixa.
A visitation will be from 6-8:00pm on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Adams Funeral Home in Nixa.
