A Springfield man was sentenced to 30 years in prison on May 17, 2024, for sexually assaulting a female victim under the age of 14 numerous times between Sept. 1, 2017 and April, 30, 2019.
Gregory Crumm, 41, was found guilty of first-degree rape, first-degree statutory rape, first-degree sodomy, first-degree statutory sodomy and the class C felony of third-degree child molestation.
Crumm was convicted following a bench trial with Greene County Circuit Judge Jerry Harmison presiding in February.
According to court documents, the juvenile victim disclosed in 2019 that Crumm had “forcefully held her down on several occasions and forced her to have sex with him.”
In a forensic interview, the victim described an occasion when Crumm’s “anger issues” led to him punching a hole in a wall because he couldn’t find a toothbrush. She described several times when she woke up to Crumm sexually assaulting her.
Crumm is in the Greene County Jail, awaiting transportation to a Missouri Department of Corrections prison.
