Springfield police are looking for help from the public in identifying a man who had a gun when he tried to carjack someone at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16 at Braum's on West Republic Road.

The man approached the victim with a gun and told the victim to exit the car and give him the keys. Instead, the victim fled and called 911.

Anyone with information about the identify of the individual in the photos should call the Springfield Police Department at (417) 874-1755 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at (417) 869-TIPS (8477) or online at p3tips.com
