A Springfield man involved in a one-vehicle crash earlier in June died over the weekend from his injuries.

Chance Parker, 35, died Saturday at a Springfield hospital as a result of injuries he suffered on June 11, according to a press release from the Springfield Police Department. The death marks the city’s 11th fatal vehicle accident for 2024.

Parker, at about 7 p.m. on June 11, was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe on I-44 westbound, according to police. As the vehicle approached the Glenstone Avenue exit, the vehicle ran off the road, rolled and landed next to a culvert.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call (417) 864-1810 or the department’s tips hotline at (417) 869-8477.
