Donald Gene Jones, 88 of Springfield, passed away on June 23rd, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Donald served in the United States Air Force in Korea. He worked for the Springfield Fire Department, retiring as a Captain after 35 years. In his retirement, he worked as a local delivery driver.
He is survived by his loving wife, Billie Jeanne Jones; son, Douglas Jones; daughter Laura Jeanne Thompson; daughter-in-law, Darlene Jones; and others.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 27, and also at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Pembina Cemetery, Rogersville, MO.
