The Springfield Art Museum (1111 East Brookside Drive) will be closed to the public July 5-8 for repairing, resealing and restriping of the museum’s existing parking lot.

That lot will continue to serve the public as new parking lots continue to be constructed along the north side of the museum’s grounds. The new lots are part of the museum’s Master Plan construction process.

“We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause patrons who planned to visit the Museum during this brief period of closure,” the Springfield Art Museum said in a press release.

The museum will reopen to the public at 10 a.m. July 9. For more information about the Springfield Art Museum’s Master Plan, visit the museum’s website.
