Vote NO on 1!
Springfield is a growing city. The transition from a small city to a metropolitan hub is not an easy one. Changes take a toll on the fabric that underpinned what made Springfield so desirable a place to live in the first place.
Buildings are razed, neighborhoods are left to blight for tax purposes, homes are painted grey and flipped for profit, and the dizzying pace of change makes the old guard wary and worried. Developers need to think more contextual and less simply profitable. Sequiota Park may become a drainage ditch if the development in Galloway goes through as proposed.
Environment, neighborhood feel and continuity should be part of the goals for development in our growing city. There is always a compromise and a plan that can work for all.
