Community Partnership of the Ozarks is launching its second annual Springfield’s Top Dog competition and fundraiser.

All dogs registered get a free Springfield’s Top Dog bandana. The top 12 dogs will be featured in the 2024 Springfield’s Top Dog calendar.

Here’s how it works:

Dogs are registered online at one.bidpal.net/topdog/welcome for $25. Then dog owners share their dog’s campaign on social media.

Friends can vote for their favorite dog by donating ($1 equals one vote).

The dog that raises the most money wins.

Registration is open now through March 16. Voting happens March 20-31.

Scout, the 2022 Springfield’s Top Dog, and his human, Ellen Fogle, raised more than $4,200.

Join the party at Bark Yard

The Springfield’s Top Dog kick-off party will be from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Bark Yard, 3110 E. Cherry St.

All registered dogs will get free entry to Bark Yard’s off-leash park area for the kick-off, as well as a Springfield’s Top Dog official bandana and a free pup cup from Black Lab Coffee.

All dogs wanting to enter the off-leash area must have their up-to-date vaccination records as required by Bark Yard.

Funds raised support Community Partnership of the Ozarks, a nonprofit organization based in Springfield. CPO’s mission is to “facilitate and promote the building of resilient children, healthy families, and strong neighborhoods & communities through collaboration, programming and resource development.”
