A Springfield man was indicted in federal court Wednesday after investigators alleged he produced and possessed child pornography.
Yevgeniy Dudko, 51, faces two counts of using minors to produce child pornography and one count of receiving and distributing child pornography.
According to an affidavit for Dudko’s arrest, investigators received notification of a report to the Missouri Child Abuse Hotline regarding images found on his cell phone that appeared to show sexual abuse of a minor child.
Two victims, Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2, are identified in court records. According to a press release from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri, investigators searched Dudko’s cell phone and found about a thousand images of Jane Doe 1 and potentially other victims stored on it. According to the press release, some of the images “appeared to have been created by a hidden camera.” Now an adult, Jane Doe 2 told investigators that she was sexually abused by Dudko while she was a minor.
Dudko was arrested in mid-March shortly after Greene County Sheriff’s Department investigators were informed of the hotline complaint. He was initially charged on March 16, and the April 12 complaint includes additional charges. The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations, the Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force and the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
