A head-on collision west of Miller resulted in the death of two Greene County residents, leaving two others with serious injuries, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

At 7:30 p.m. on July 18, a 1983 Ford F-250 overcorrected after traveling off the roadway on Missouri State Highway 96. The pickup struck a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan head on.

Wyatt Cady, 32-year-old Ash Grove resident and the driver of the Ford truck, was pronounced dead at the accident scene. A baby from Republic, a passenger in the Grand Caravan, also died.

The driver of the Grand Caravan and a three-year-old occupant, also of Republic, sustained serious injuries, and were transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

There have been 77 traffic fatalities in Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D in 2023.
