A 51-year-old Ash Grove man died Monday afternoon, Dec. 4, after riding his motorcycle into an intersection against a red light, according to Springfield police.

Carl Enlow was reportedly speeding north on National Avenue on a 2003 Honda motorcycle when he entered the intersection at Kearney Street and collided with a westbound gray 2010 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, according to police.

Lynette Hoffman, 49, from Fair Grove, was driving the minivan.

Enlow died at the scene of the crash, according to the Springfield Police Department.

The circumstances of the crash are under investigation. This was Springfield’s 26th fatal motor vehicle crash in 2023.
