Springfield's newest arena will host a grand opening Jan. 11, according to an Ozark Empire Fairgrounds press release.

The Wilson Logistics Arena's grand opening celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 11 and will include a ribbon cutting, presentations, appetizers and tours of the new facility, according to the press release.

“This grand opening isn’t just about a new venue at the Fairgrounds – it’s to showcase the investment being made in our community to bring new events to the Ozarks and to enhance our already great city,” Ozark Empire Fairgrounds and Event Center General Manager Casey Owen said in the press release.

The celebration will continue in the evening with the grand opening party, a ticketed event, featuring singer-songwriter Russell Dickerson. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m., according to the press release.

The 163,000-square-foot arena can seat more than 6,300 people, according to to the press release. There are more than 30 weekend events booked for the arena in 2024, including the Springfield Business Expo, the O'Reilly Outlaw Nationals Monster Truck Show and Ozarks Lunkers indoor football team.
