Springfield’s mega music festival is expanding its offerings in 2024. The 13th Annual Queen City Shout will showcase poetry and dance alongside film, visual arts and, of course, music at multiple venues across Springfield March 18-24.
“It feels like the expansion of additional art forms has been almost organic,” festival founder Eddie Gumucio said in a press release. “There are just so many ways for artists today to connect with fans, and we want Queen City Shout to be a live sampling of a broader creative melting pot. But at the end of the day, it’s really important to remember that every dollar raised helps to alleviate poverty in the Ozarks.”
The 2023 Queen City Shout festival drew thousands of attendees and raised thousands of dollars for Springfield-area nonprofit organizations.
100 bands, eight venues and that's not all

This year’s lineup includes more than 100 Springfield-area and regional artists, including singers, songwriters and full bands. They’ll perform on eight stages located in the Historic C-Street, downtown, Rountree and Galloway neighborhoods. Those venues are:
- 4 By 4 Brewing Company
- Hold Fast Brewing
- Lindberg’s Tavern
- Mother’s Brewing Company
- The Royal
- Tie & Timber Beer Company
- Wherehouse Bar
- White River Brewing Company
Film and visual arts will be incorporated into the festival again in 2024, while poetry and dance performances will be hosted at select locations downtown and on C-Street.
Gumucio hopes the new offerings will broaden the event’s appeal and draw more attendees. He likens the evolution of Queen City Shout to Austin’s SXSW, which grew from a traditional music festival into a global media industry event.
