Trevin Dicks, 21, and Reggie Carey, 19, both from Springfield, are dead after a shooting in south Springfield just before 12:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 22. The Springfield Police Department has taken two suspects, a woman and a man, into custody.
At 12:36 a.m., officers responded to Cox South Hospital after Dicks and Carey arrived with gunshot wounds. They died a short time later. Their families have been notified.

SPD's homicide unit identified Tarrin Dicks, 19, and Izaiah Crabb, 18, both from Springfield, as suspects in the case. They were arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail. The case will be presented to the Greene County Prosecutor's Office for review.
The shooting happened in the 200 block of East Erie Street, between Campbell Avenue and Jefferson Avenue. According to KOLR10’s Jessica Hammer and Joshua Pineda, police believe an ongoing dispute led to the shooting.
