UPDATE: The Springfield Police Department notified the public at 9:16 p.m. March 14 that Gavin Wethington was safely located.

The Springfield Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Gavin Wethington, an endangered missing person.

Wethington, age 17, is described as 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and tattoos on his right arm. He was last seen wearing all-black clothing. Wethington is known to frequent hotels on North Glenstone Avenue.

He was last seen on March 13 around 8 p.m. According to the Springfield Police Department, Wethington deals with mental health issues.

Anyone with information about Wethington’s whereabouts should call 911 or make an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers by calling (417) 869-TIPS (8477) or online at p3tips.com.
