Alan Craig Twedt, 70 of Springfield, died Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Specialty Select Hospital.

Alan was born and raised in and around Story City, Iowa, the son of Alvin “Bud” and Elaine (Vespested) Twedt, both of whom will greet him in Heaven.

Alan is a 1972 graduate of NESCO High School in Iowa. He went on to earn several degrees culminating in a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University.

Dr. Twedt was fun-loving and quick with a joke. He enjoyed fishing and made an annual trip to northern Minnesota. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Jamille Kelley Twedt, his daughters, Alaina (Quinton) Shaffer, of Springfield, Missouri, and Katharine Twedt of Branson, Missouri; his brother Mark (Angie) Twedt of Iowa; his sister Renae (Jon) Collier of Arkansas; nieces Taylor (James) May of Iowa, and Erin Collier of Virginia; and nephew, Peyton (Cassie) Twedt of Iowa; numerous friends, co-workers, and acquaintances.

No memorial service will be held based on his wishes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
