Mother's Brewing Company has added a bar complete with a tap filled with Mother's beer at the Springfield-Branson National Airport.
Mama's Home Terminal Tavern by Mother's Brewing Company opened around Jan. 1 at Gate 10 in the airport's Roy Blunt Terminal. Mother's owner Jeff Seifried said. Mother's executives discussed the concept with airport officials and with Tailwind Concessions for about nine months before the bar opened. The bar will have six handles of Mother's beer on tap.
“We wanted to do something a bit different with the Mother's brand,” Seifried said.
Mama's Home Terminal Tavern is the latest step in a business expansion effort Seifried started when he and his wife and business partner, Lindsay, purchased a controlling stake in Mother’s from founder Jeff Schrag in May 2023. Earlier in 2024, the company announced the opening of a coffee shop, called the Cufflink Room, on the Grant Avenue side of the brewery.
The expansion started with the brewery’s late-2023 renovation of the BarrelHouse, a venue that can seat up to 250 people, according to the company website. The brewery’s outside patio was also opened and spruced up that year.
The new bar at the airport will also have Mother's branded merchandise for sale and will possibly incorporate selling packaged beer, Seifried said. Seifried declined to disclose the total financial investment to open Mama's Home Terminal Tavern.
