United Parcel Service (UPS) is building an additional delivery center by the Springfield-Branson National Airport, a spokesperson said by email.

The delivery center, located at 4415 W. Success Place. between the airport and the Springfield Raceway, is scheduled to be completed in September 2024, Karen Tomaszewski Hill, UPS media and communications manager, said by email.

“The building is in addition to the two current buildings in Springfield and will help more efficiently manage the volume in the area,” Hill said in the email.

The land was purchased from the Springfield Business and Development Corporation (SBDC) in December 2022, according to Greene County Accessor's Office records. While records show it is owned by BT-OH LLC, the land is “in care of” UPS Corp. Real Estate, according to the records.

The 19-acre plot had a commercial market value of $1.06 million as of January 2023, according to the records.
