Springfield police responded at 9:17 p.m. to a report of a person shot at the address in the 800-block of Concord Avenue near the corner of Chestnut Expressway and Grant Avenue.

Officers found Ty Reese James Glossip, 17, inside the residence with a gunshot wound. Medical personnel transported Glossip to a hospital, according to Springfield police.

The person who allegedly shot Glossip has been questioned by detectives, but has not been arrested at this time.

Once the investigation is done, the case will be presented to the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office, which will decide whether criminal charges will be filed, Springfield police said in a statement.

This was Springfield’s 19th homicide investigation in 2023.
