A driver and passenger, both from Springfield, died Saturday following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Sunshine Street and McCurry Street.

According to a statement from the Springfield Police Department, Jordan Crocket, 30, of Clever was driving a 2017 Ford F350 eastbound on Sunshine Street at around 4:15 p.m. The pickup truck entered the intersection, hitting a northbound 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Justin Richards, 37.

Richards was pronounced dead at the scene.

Trisha Gulick, 31, of Springfield, was a passenger in Richards' Grand Prix, and was pregnant. Gulick was transported to Cox Medical Center South, where she and her baby were pronounced dead.

The circumstances in the crash are under investigation, according to Springfield police.
