A driver involved in a two-vehicle crash in early December has died, according to a Springfield Police Department press release.

Kenneth Kerr, 90, of Springfield, died on Dec. 9 from injuries sustained in the crash on Dec. 4, according to the release.

While turning west onto Montclair Street from Fremont Avenue in a 2016 Nissan Frontier, Kerr’s vehicle collided with a 2014 BMW 435i, driven by 41-year-old Rochelle Boothe, of Ozark, according to police.

Police responded to the incident at 2:19 p.m., and Kerr was transported to a medical facility.

The circumstances of Springfield’s 27th fatal motor vehicle crash of 2023 are still under investigation.
