UPDATE: Just after 12:30 p.m. Jan. 18, the Springfield Police Department announced Evangeline C. Jiminez has been safely located.

The Springfield Police Department and Drury University are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing person.

Evangeline C. Jimenez, 18, was last seen around 2:45 a.m. on Jan. 18 near the Sigma Pi fraternity house (1320 N. Robberson Ave.). Her last known direction of travel was heading west crossing Robberson Avenue.

Jimenez is a Hispanic female, approximately 5-foot-4 and 175 pounds. She has black hair and hazel eyes. Jimenez was last seen wearing a purple sweater with Greek lettering, dark pants, socks, no shoes and large framed glasses. She is not believed to have a phone or her ID with her and, with the weather conditions, her safety is of concern.

The public is asked to call 911 or Drury Security at (417) 873-7400 with any information.
