A Greene County resident was killed Sunday night in a single-vehicle crash seven miles west of Fair Grove.

Cary Cave, 58, of Fair Grove, traveled off Route CC while traveling westbound in a 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, which then struck the ground and overturned, ejecting Cave from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at 9:30 p.m. by a Greene County Medical Examiner, according to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Cave was not wearing a seatbelt.

This is the 120th traffic crash fatality in 2023 in Troop D, Highway Patrol’s southwest Missouri district.
