The family of a missing — but now safely located — Springfield teen wants to thank the community and law enforcement for their support and efforts in helping find Reilly ‘Bella’ Williams.
Williams’ family was notified the 17-year-old had been found around 7:15 p.m. Friday — just 45 minutes before a prayer vigil was set to begin. Jackie Adams, the sister of Williams' aunt, said they were just about to head to the vigil when they received the news.
“It’s just such a relief,” Adams said. “We’re so glad that she’s coming home.
“I would like to thank all the people in the community that cared and loved,” Adams said. “We’re very thankful for the law enforcement teams that worked on it, also.”
Williams was reported missing on April 29, having last been seen that morning in southwest Springfield. Williams was absent from school on April 29. Police described Williams as “endangered” with the mental capabilities of a 10-12 year old.
Adams did not want to publicly share any other details of where Williams has been — only that she is safe and that the family is grateful for this outcome.
Williams had been missing 12 days.
“She’s safe and in the process of coming home,” Adams said on Saturday morning. “We’re very grateful for all the community support.”
