A 38-year-old man died Sunday evening following a motorcycle crash on Farm Road 66 north of Springfield.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol crash report, Kenneth D. Barker of Springfield was driving a 2010 Harley-Davidson eastbound at 6:10 p.m. when the motorcycle began to skid, traveled off the left side of the road, struck a fence and overturned.
Barker was pronounced dead at 7:29 p.m. at Mercy Hospital.
This is Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D’s 74 fatality for 2023.
