A motorcyclist was found dead at the scene when Springfield police responded to the crash on the morning of Friday, Feb. 10 at 2:38 a.m.
Bobby Jones, 43, of Nixa, was traveling eastbound on Grand Street near Grant Avenue when he lost control of his red 1994 Honda motorcycle, according to police.
Jones’ family has been informed of his death.
An investigation is ongoing into the circumstances of what is the fourth fatal motor vehicle crash in Springfield in 2023. Anyone with information should contact the Springfield Police Department.
