A pedestrian was struck by a semi truck at the intersection of Glenstone Avenue and Kearney Street in north Springfield around 10:30 a.m. Friday.
According to a Springfield Police Department spokesperson Cris Swaters, the pedestrian is in critical but stable condition.
The initial investigation indicates there was not any negligence on the part of the semi driver, Swaters said.
