A 32-year-old Springfield woman, a pedestrian, was struck and killed June 24.

The woman was hit while she was in the roadway on Highway 413, about one mile southwest of the Springfield city limits, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Margaret M. Seise was struck by a car at about 8:55 p.m. She was pronounced dead at Mercy Hospital at 9:49 p.m.

The road is known as West Sunshine Street in city limits.

Logan W. Stokes, 29, of Marionville, was the driver of the car. As required by law, Highway Patrol troopers tested Stokes for alcohol. The online accident report did not have the results of those tests and did not state charges had been filed. Stokes did not appear in the Highway Patrol's arrest reports.

The online report states Stokes was driving north toward Springfield on Highway 413 when Seise was hit. The roadway goes in a southwest to northeast direction in that stretch.
