Springfield police know of a suspect in a stabbing death that occurred on East Commercial Street Saturday night, May 13. No one has been arrested or charged.

Stephen Meyle, 37, was stabbed Saturday and taken to a Springfield hospital, where he died on Tuesday.

Detectives determined Meyle was stabbed at 1017 E. Commercial St., which is a residence west of National Avenue.

Police are further investigating prior to submitting the case to the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for possible charges.
