Update: The suspect was taken into custody in Iowa.

The Springfield Police Department is asking for help identifying a male who is a suspect in a carjacking on April 30 at the Kum & Go at 2161 E. Republic Road.

According to a news release, the stolen vehicle is a dark blue 2011 Chevy Impala that was displaying Missouri License Plate GE2D3G.

The license plate has possibly been removed, the release said, but stickers on the rear window are still in place. The vehicle also has a very large dent in the driver-side rear door.
