A 23-year-old Springfield man was shot and killed Sunday, June 25, in Springfield.
Kayden Morton, 23, died from gunshot wounds in the city's ninth homicide in 2023. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police responded to a 5:42 p.m. report of a person who was shot at 902 N. Glenn Ave., in Springfield's Fairfield Acres neighborhood.
A suspect in the fatal shooting has not been identified.
