UPDATE: Just before 4:30 p.m., the Springfield Police Department announced Tydus Vang has been found and is safe.

The Springfield Police Department issued an endangered person alert for a missing 11-year-old Springfield boy, according to a department press release.

Tydus Y. Vang, a 4-foot, 50-pound 11-year-old Springfield boy with black hair and brown eyes, was last seen on Jan. 11 at 7:44 p.m. leaving his house in the 4500 block of S. Graystone Ct. on foot. The neighborhood is off of South Fremont Avenue in the Ravenwood neighborhood.

Vang was last seen wearing a blue and white Nike hoodie with a grey Nike undershirt, black pants and white Nike shoes, according to the statement from police.

Springfield police ask for the public's help in finding Vang, according to the release.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact the Springfield Police Department by calling 911 or make an anonymous report to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477) or online at p3tips.com.
