Two men riding motorcycles were killed in separate traffic accidents on Monday, Oct. 31, in the Ozarks, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

James Haines, 36, of Springfield, died early Monday morning after his 1995 Suzuki motorcycle was hit from behind by a tractor-trailer on eastbound U.S. 60 just east of Fordland, according to highway patrol reports.

The accident occurred at 2:55 a.m. in Webster County. Verrol E. Pyle, 57, of Nixa, was driving the tractor-trailer, according to highway patrol reports.

Some 12 hours later in Newton County, Dylan E. Cole, 19, of Neosho, was riding a 2022 Kawasaki Z650 motorcycle when he was killed in an accident on Route AA, two miles south of Neosho.

Cole died after a 2015 Toyota Camry, driven by Darla K. Casteel, 70, of Arkansas, made a left turn in front of him and the vehicles collided, according to highway patrol reports.

Cole, on the motorcycle, was eastbound and Casteel, in the car, was westbound, according to reports.
