A 42-year-old Springfield man was found dead Tuesday, Nov. 1, at a residence on North Lone Pine Avenue, the Springfield police reported Thursday.

The man was identified as Timothy J. Williamson.

Police arrived at 1824 N. Lone Pine at 11.48 a.m. Tuesday to find a man bleeding from unknown injuries. Circumstances surrounding the death appear to be suspicious, an SPD news release states.

A suspect has not been identified.

Detectives are investigating Williamson’s death as a homicide and are asking anyone with information to contact the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477).

This incident marks the 16th homicide investigation for 2022, and the second homicide on Nov. 1. Earlier this week, a murder-suicide involving a hammer attack on West Chestnut Expressway was reported by SPD.
