Privacy carrels await voters in the upcoming election.

Beginning on Tuesday, March 19, Greene County voters can cast ballots for the April 2 election without being required to give a reason for voting early.

No-excuse absentee voting is available in-person from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, at the Greene County Elections Center, located at 1126 N. Boonville Ave. in Springfield.

Voters are required to present one of the following forms of identification:

  • A nonexpired Missouri driver or non-driver license;
  • A nonexpired military ID, including a veteran’s ID card;
  • A nonexpired United States passport;
  • Another photo ID issued by the United States or the state of Missouri which is either not expired or expired after the date of the most recent general election.

Springfield voters will decide which of seven candidates will earn three positions on the Springfield Board of Education. They will also decide on a pair of ballot measures — one extending the mayor’s term from two years to four and another changing the Springfield City Charter’s ethics policy for city government staff.

Sample ballots — for Springfield and other Greene County elections — are available on the Greene County Elections website.
