On March 10, Gov. Mike Parson appointed Josephine (Jody) Larison Stockard as an associate circuit judge to fill the vacancy left by T. Todd Myers in the 31st Judicial Circuit after his promotion to circuit judge.

Stockard, a University of Missouri graduate and Springfield resident, has a bachelor's degree in journalism and a Juris Doctor. She previously served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District Court of the Western District of Missouri. Prior to that, Stockard worked in multiple roles in the Missouri GOP, including in the office of former Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt.

Myers was first appointed to the 31st Circuit as an associate circuit judge in 2020, but was promoted to circuit judge in November 2022.
