Springfield City Manager Jason Gage is among four finalists for the same position in Manhattan, Kansas.

The City of Manhattan announced the finalists on Thursday, July 11. The other candidates are Jacob J. Wood, Jamie Miller and Danielle Dulin.

The four finalists, selected from a pool of 50 candidates, will participate in an on-site interview process on July 22-23, according to a press release from the City of Manhattan. The process includes a community tour and interview and engagement sessions with the mayor, city commissioners, city staff and the public. 

Manhattan is a city of about 54,000 people in northeastern Kansas and is home to Kansas State University.

Of the finalists, Gage boasts the most experience in local government with 25 years, including 20 as city manager. Gage has been Springfield’s city manager since Aug. 1, 2018, and previously served as city manager of Salina, Kansas, De Soto, Missouri and Stillwater, Oklahoma.
