People who get a first or second COVID-19 vaccination dose at upcoming vaccine clinics at Central High School and Glendale High School will be entered for a chance to win one of five $500 Walmart or Target gift cards.

The offer is the latest effort by the Springfield-Greene County Health Department to incentivize vaccinations for the remaining 46 percent of county residents who are unvaccinated. The drawing is open to people who get vaccinated at either of two upcoming pop-up clinics. The clinic at Central High School, 423 E. Central St., will be held March 22 from 3-7 p.m. The clinic at Glendale High School, 2727 S. Ingram Road, will be held March 24 from 3-7 p.m.

This is the second round of clinics to be held at the high schools this month. According to the health department, people who received vaccinations at either of the schools earlier in March have also been entered into the drawing. The health department will contact the five winners directly.
