UPDATE: Springfield Police announced on the evening of Feb. 17 that the endangered juvenile, Faith Luckey, has been safely located and Gary Huntley is in custody.

Springfield Police released an Endangered Person Advisory for Springfield 11-year-old Faith Luckey. 

SPD is seeking public assistance in locating Luckey, who is a ward of the state.

She is a white female, at five feet tall and 94 pounds, and has bluish hair, hazel eyes and a tattoo on her right ankle of a red mushroom wearing a sombrero, according to a description by the police department

Her last known location was on Feb. 3 at 6:45 p.m. at 1212 W. Lombard in Springfield. She was wearing a white hoodie with gray swirl patterns, gray sweatpants and black tennis shoes.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, which also issued a release, Luckey ran away from state custody.

She is believed to currently be in the company of Gary R. Huntley, according to police.

Huntley, 49, currently has a nationwide extraditable felony warrant for Child Kidnapping.

He is a bald, white male, weighing 180 pounds at 5 feet and 10 inches tall, with hazel eyes and a tattoo on his upper right arm.

Huntley, a former associate of Luckey’s mother, is claiming to be her father, though there is no relation between them.

Huntley has been charged with child kidnapping, according to court documents filed on Feb. 16. A warrant has been issued for Huntley’s arrest, and for him to be held without bond.

Huntley has a history of criminal behavior, with five domestic assault charges brought against him in a case filed on Oct. 30, 2019, in which he pled guilty to each one for 4th degree domestic assault.

Police are encouraging anyone with any information about her whereabouts to call 911, SPD at 417-864-1810 or leave an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477).
