Dan Delcour, age 70, passed away on July 9, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri. He was born February 22, 1954, in Mansfield, Missouri, to Francis and Geleta Adamson Delcour.

Dan went to Hartville High School and went on to go to MSU, where he earned a bachelor's degree. Dan owned Dan's Custom Cycles, and had worked for Zenith, KTXR, O'Reilly's, and was a special education teacher for Logan Rogersville High School.

On October 23, 2011, Dan married Connie Guinn.

Dan was saved and baptized, and his faith was very important to him. He enjoyed regular visits to the tattoo shop and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid reader and a snarky editorial writer. He was an originator of the 1981 Toys for Tots motorcycle run in Springfield, Missouri.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Geleta Adamson Delcour.

He is survived by his wife, Connie, of the home; daughter, Marianne Beard, and husband Jason; step-son, Brandon Kellum, and wife Brenda; step-son, Jarod Kellum; brother, Jerry Delcour, and wife Janet; niece, Jerica Delcour, a gaggle of grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, and several more that know him as Papa Dan.

Dan was so loved and will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Dan's life will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, 2001 W. Walnut Lawn, Springfield, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
