Daniel Howard Dunaway, 80 of Springfield, passed away suddenly on June 20, 2024.
Daniel served as a captain in the Army during the Vietnam War and became a Purple Heart recipient during that time. He retired from Canadian Pacific Railway.
Daniel is survived by sons David Michael and Jean-Philippe (Veronique), along with others.
Services will be held at Briar Street Baptist Church, 1361 W. Briar Street in Springfield on Monday, July 8, 2024, at 10:00 AM followed by interment at Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
Memorial contributions may be made in Daniel’s name to Briar Street Baptist Church, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
