Ida Earlene West, age 92, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on April 4, 2024, after a long battle with colon and liver cancer. She went by her middle name, Earlene her entire life.
Earlene was born to William Loftis and Eliza Loftis on August 15, 1931 in Romance, Missouri. She worked numerous jobs but seemed to enjoy selling Avon for 18 years. Earlene met Elmer Goodman in Ava, Missouri and later married.
Earlene was preceded in death by her parents William and Eliza Loftis; her first husband, Elmer Goodman and her second husband, Kenneth West; daughter Lila Woodruff; brothers, Clyde Loftis, Clinton Loftis, Everett Loftis; and sisters, Esther Welch, Sue Warden, Maxine Miller.
She is survived by her son Terry Goodman; daughter-in-law Donna Goodman; daughter Sherry Goodman; daughter Sandra Wiles; son Dennis Goodman; adopted granddaughter Laurie Coots. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Services for Earlene were held Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at South Haven Baptist Church followed by interment at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
