Edith Beeman, 83, Springfield, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Oct. 7, 1940 in Comfort, West Virginia, the daughter of Rev. Roscoe Estill Leadingham and Lottie Mae Qualls Leadingham.

Edith was united in marriage to Raymond “Ray” Erwin Beeman on Dec. 31, 1965

Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Roscoe Estill Leadingham and Lottie Mae (Qualls) Leadingham; brothers, William Cisco, James Silas, and Roscoe Jr., Charles Ray; sisters, Irene, Maxine, Lucile, Ruth, Eloise, and Patsy; stepdaughters, Janet (Beeman) Stables,­­­­ Cindy (Beeman) Daddow; step-granddaughter, Carman Daddow; and great-grandson, Hadrian Mann.

Edith is survived by her loving husband, Raymond “Ray” Erwin Beeman of 58 years; children, Michael and Tammy Beeman, Roscoe and Jacque Beeman, John and Shiloh Beeman; grandchildren, Todd Beeman, DeLacy Kerber, Tyler Beeman and Monica Baker, Gaven Beeman and Tia Shaw, Keri and Greg Swadley, Nathan and Emily Beeman; step-grandchildren: Matthew, Ryan, Jeremy, Travis and Carmen; great-grandchildren, Dayanna Beeman, Madalyn Kerber, Mabel Haynes, Presley Beeman, Wrenley Beeman, Ryker Beeman, Haden Swadley, Madison Swadley, Kora Swadley, Leeden Welsh and Rylen Beeman; step-great-grandchild: DeLorian; brothers, Bill Leadingham of Hilton Head, North Carolina, and David Leadingham of Beckley, West Virginia; and a sister, Jessie Adkins of Concord, North Carolina.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Private family burial will be held in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
