Guenter Jentzsch

Guenter Klaus Kurt Jentzsch, 83, of Highlandville passed away Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024. He was born August 18, 1940, to Kurt and Meta Jentzsch in Berlin, Germany.

Guenter was a master carpenter, business owner, U.S. Army veteran, devoted husband to Linda Jentzsch and beloved father of two sons, Kurt Jentzsch and Keith Jentzsch.

He loved nature and showed it, every day, in his profound kindness to animals. One of his greatest pleasures was his homing pigeons. He adored those birds and could watch them fly above his land for hours.

Guenter was also a patient teacher and taught his two sons the arts of woodworking and carpentry.

He was kind, generous and loving. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; and his brothers, Dieter, Klaus and Peter.

Guenter is survived by his sons, Kurt and Keith; and his granddaughter, Eva.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield.
