James “Jim” E. Turner, 83 of Springfield, passed peacefully on June 17, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
His early career was spent in education, first as a high school teacher and basketball coach, followed by the University of Missouri Kansas City Continuing Education Program. Most of his professional life was spent in the real estate business.
Jim is survived by three daughters, DeeAnn Jost of Chesterfield, Missouri, Sue Turner of Springfield, Missouri, Amy Witcher and her husband Lance of Sunset Hills, and others.
Services will be held on June 21, 2024, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home located at 1947 E. Seminole, Springfield, Missouri.
A visitation will take place at 11am, followed by a memorial service at 12pm.
If desired, memorial contributions can be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
