John Robert Ryan, 81, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 20, 2022.
He was born March 25, 1940, in Springfield, MO, to the late John and Bessie Ryan.
John was married 45 years to the love of his life, Nancy. He is survived by his wife and children: Derek (Vicki) Ryan; Sean Ryan; Sherri Ryan and Dawn (Kirk) Strohm. He is also survived by his brother Wayne (Linda) Ryan and sister Donna Fergerson, along with many nieces and nephews. John was the proud Grandpa Ryan to 9 grandchildren and 16 (soon to be 17) great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services are being provided by Walnutlawn Funeral Home.
A private family service will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in John’s honor to the Michael J. Fox Foundation (www.michaeljfox.org/donate).
