Michael Allen Tuhey was born July 20, 1962, in Springfield, Missouri, and passed from this world on April 14, 2024, at the age of 61.
Mike was a U.S. Army veteran, having served from 1980 to 1988, serving as a Combat Engineer and an Armored Personnel Carrier Operator. He served with the 101st Airborne Division, the 82nd Airborne Division and the 3rd Armored Division. Mike married Deborah Tharp on May 15, 2009 in West Plains, Missouri and enjoyed 15 years of marriage.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Donald Tuhey; his mother, Dorothy May (Morris) Tuhey; his brothers, Johnny Davis, David Davis, and Robert Tuhey; his sisters, Caroline Presley and Katherine Sparkman. Mike is survived by his wife Deborah Tuhey of the family home; his son Nathan Tuhey and grandson, Cole Tuhey of Springfield; a brother Jimmy Davis of Willard, Missouri; and a sister, Marie Marriott of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Faith Baptist Church, located at 2920 W. Nichols St., Springfield, Missouri 65803.In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mike’s name to the Gary Sinise Foundation
