Patricia (“Patty’) Sue Johnston was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She passed away in her home on Friday, February 4, 2022.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Cecil and Marcella Carnahan; and husband of 57 years George W. Johnston, Jr. Patty is survived by her son, Walt (Carol); daughters, Christie (John) and Susie (David); grandchildren Ryan, Staci (Robert), Ashley (Jhett), Sarah, Lauren (John), and Jordan; great-grandchildren Paris, Brooklyn, Jade, and Matthew; bonus grandchildren Joe (Beckie), Hannah, Dave, and John; bonus great-grandchildren Caroline and Caylie; brother John (Linda): cousins John (Jenny) and Frank (Susan). She also leaves behind her beloved cats.
Patty will be laid to rest next to her husband in a private family graveside service, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
The family has requested memorials to be made in Patty’s name to the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri.
